 Sheldon Jordan, MD.

Neurological Associates of West Los Angeles

I have been at the forefront of the fitness industry for 30 years. I have spent the past 10 years as a teacher, speaker, and writer, specializing in exercise for Parkinson’s disease. My company, Parkinson’s Exercise Programs, is the only Los Angeles-based, private, in-home exercise service that specializes in people with PD.  Clients find me through referrals from numerous prominent neurologists, my speaking engagements, and articles in PD newsletters.                           >>

I began my career as an award-winning gymnast, aerobics instructor, competitive body builder, and celebrity fitness trainer.  Some of my celebrity clients include Barbra Streisand, Oliver Stone, Elaine May, Penny Marshall, Frank Gehry, Marlo Thomas, Phil Donahue, and others.

After touring the world as the winner of the first California Aerobics Championship, I founded P.E.P., Personal Exercise Programs Inc., the first in-home personal fitness training business in New York City (1983). I gained acclaim by producing the first and only custom exercise videos (at $1000.00 each), as seen in Vogue and Town and Country magazines. My success as one of the first celebrity trainers led to television appearances and packed seminars, instructing and motivating thousands of health club instructors on the subject of operating a successful business as a private trainer.

At the cutting edge of my field, I have combined my knowledge of many different forms of exercise with my “fight back” philosophy to help PD patients prevent, maintain, and reverse symptoms that were previously known to be irreversible.
